Gobo Fraggle
The Explorer & Leader
Gobo Fraggle, the brave explorer of Fraggle Rock
Physical Description
Gobo is an orange-furred Fraggle with a distinctive purple-tipped nose and a tuft of darker orange hair on top of his head. He typically wears a brown explorer's vest that reflects his adventurous nature, and he's often seen carrying his guitar or one of his Uncle Traveling Matt's postcards.
About Gobo
Gobo is the natural-born explorer and de facto leader of the Fraggle Five. Brave, adventurous, and endlessly curious, Gobo loves nothing more than exploring the uncharted territories of Fraggle Rock and reading the postcards his Uncle Traveling Matt sends from "Outer Space" (our world). He is the central protagonist of the series and often drives the main storyline of each episode.
As the nephew of the legendary explorer Uncle Traveling Matt, Gobo feels a deep responsibility to follow in his uncle's footsteps. He's often the voice of reason among his friends, though his confidence can sometimes border on stubbornness. Gobo is also a talented guitarist and frequently leads the group in songs and musical numbers.
Role in the Show
Gobo serves as the main protagonist and often initiates the adventures that drive each episode's plot. His regular trips to Doc's workshop to collect his uncle's postcards create the connection between Fraggle Rock and the human world, establishing one of the show's central themes about interconnectedness.
